Turkey Attempts a Failed Invasion of Kobane

Over night the Turkish army attempted to enter Kobane territory (about 20 minutes away from kobane’s city centre). They were however repelled by YPG soon after and retreated to Bakur (occupied northern Kurdistan). Everything is calm and everyone is safe and sound in kobane. The possibility of an invasion remains ever present though. The ongoing attacks by the Turkish army continues on Efrin canton on a daily basis. This latest attempt is a worrying sign of increasing belligerency on the part of the Turkish regime.

At the end Rojava remains under constant and imminent threat and occupation. But no one said that freedom from fascism was going to be easy.
