An interview with me by the French Magazine Kedistan.net discussing the oppression experienced by the people of Afrin under the Turkish invasion, specifically that by the female Kurdish fighters, or the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ). The Turkish government has a tendency to use sexualized violence as a means of deterring women from participating in resistance against its fascist and violent abuses of human rights. However, with the rise of the Rojava Revolution and the ongoing sacrifices of the Kurdish Women’s Movement a new liberation ideology and psychology is being produced within society!
